my book list

Still waiting to take some spring photos around these parts. Aside from an 'April Fool's Day' snowstorm we have the beginning signs of milder weather just starting to appear. A lawn of crocuses at my Nana's. Robins aplenty in our yard. Some vibrant green grass that I passed today in the center of town. And plenty of rain (that will hopefully bring those 'May flowers' following closely behind).

Just as one must be writing on a regular basis to classify themselves as a writer, so it also goes with reading. In my head I am an avid reader, when in reality much like many other things in life, my reading spells come and go in spurts.

Well I am currently in midst of a pretty heavy spell and am juggling three books currently. For some reason it is always three books at once for me.

So here they are...
Love in a Time of Homeschooling: A Mother and Daughter's Uncommon Year

The Dirty Life: On Farming, Food and Love

Keeping Chickens with Ashley English: All You Need to Know to Care for a Happy, Healthy Flock

So you can see where my mind is at these days. Again, pondering homeschooling and homesteading... my blog title has really captured the essence of the pursuits of my mind, body and soul once again!

What are you reading these days?
Are you pondering a new domestic pursuit?

Right now I'm reading _Simplicity Parenting_, which has some great tips for helping to recognize the kind of home that will nurture children. You might like it! I read _The Dirty Life_ over the holidays and I thought it was a lot of fun. It made me sort of glad to not be a farmer, and made me appreciate all that goes into that lifestyle.

Our crocuses are up (we're in Southern CT) and our daffodils, too.

Happy spring1

Hi Jill, just read the Householder's Guide to the Universe. Thought you might find that one interesting...
