Monk's sand art project ruined by toddler
Have you heard the latest news?
Eight Tibetan monks spent eight days on their knees meticulously piecing together a sand art project, called a mandala
, as an expression of their Buddhist faith at Union Station in Kansas City, MO. The monks were more than half way through with their project, when a curious toddler slipped under the ropes and trampled on their masterpiece. The monks were not angry and responded in a very "Zen" fashion saying that they would just have to work harder to finish the project.
All I have to say to these poor monks is WELCOME TO MY WORLD (folded laundry, stacked DVDs, freshly made bed, make-up case, my lunch, my books/magazines/notepads, my phone calls, need I go on?)!!!

tee hee ;) and do you respond in the same 'zen' fashion?
Thanks for stopping by my blog. We do have a lot in common. I will visit often!
For that matter, have you gained enlightenment from folding laundry?
I wrote a little more about this at on my blog, Orient Lodge
That's so funny and so true! Julie Pippert at Artful Flower wrote about this as well - particularly about the public very un-zen like reaction - meanwhile, when I heard their response I felt immediately convicted that I wanted to have alot more patience with my pint size curious helpers - play is there job - it's loud and messy -it's my world too!
I am just reading this today and I am dying laughing!
yeah...indeed.
