just a taste of spring

The children were overwhelmed by the sheer joy of being outside, in the woods and by the brook today. There were moments when their feet barely touched the ground. I could hardly keep up with them along the trails and down by the water's edge. And although we left with wet socks, soaked pants and nearly out of breath, it was so good to get just a taste of what's to come.

It's almost here. We can feel it. Spring is right around the corner.
